Analog Devices’ rapid research and development group is seeking a
** Staff Software Engineer
** with a strong background in full-stack development and hardware-software integration. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys solving complex, ambiguous problems.
** Responsibilities
* ** Design, develop, and maintain software for biomedical and volatile organic components (VOC) detection and diagnostic systems
* Build user interfaces, APIs, and data pipelines for detection and analysis platforms
* Implement and optimize software for real-time control and data acquisition
* Translate customer and internal requirements into software specifications and designs
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, biomedical engineers, and lab personnel
** Minimum Qualifications
*** 10+ years of full-time software engineering experience
* Proven experience building and maintaining complex web applications
* Proficiency in Python and related technologies (Poetry, FastAPI, SQL Alchemy)
* Experience developing large-scale React applications using Type Script
* Strong understanding of UI/UX design trade-offs and technical feasibility
* Extensive experience with databases such as MySQL, Postgre

SQL, SQLite, or Mongo

DB, including schema migrations and ORM/ODM debugging
* Experience building and scaling cloud applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure
* Experience integrating and working with message brokers such as RabbitMQ
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Ability to develop cross-platform solutions
* General understanding of hardware-software integration
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
* Strong grasp of system design and software architecture
* Familiarity with C, C++, or C# is a plus

** This role is part of a fast-moving R&D group focused on developing innovative solutions in biomedical and detection technologies. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers, contributing to impactful projects that bridge software and hardware.
