Analog Devices’ rapid research and development group is seeking a Staff Software Engineer with a strong background in full-stack development and hardware-software integration. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys solving complex, ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain software for biomedical and volatile organic components (VOC) detection and diagnostic systems

Build user interfaces, APIs, and data pipelines for detection and analysis platforms

Implement and optimize software for real-time control and data acquisition

Translate customer and internal requirements into software specifications and designs

Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, biomedical engineers, and lab personnel

Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of full-time software engineering experience, with 5+ years Python Development Proven experience building and maintaining complex web applications

Proficiency in Python and related technologies (uv, FastAPI, SQL Alchemy)
Experience developing large-scale React applications using Type Script Strong  understanding of UI/UX design trade-offs and technical feasibility

Extensive experience with databases such as MySQL, Postgre

SQL, SQLite, or Mongo

DB, including schema migrations and ORM/ODM debugging

Experience building and scaling cloud applications on AWS or GCPExperience integrating and working with message brokers such as Rabbit

MQPreferred Qualifications Ability to develop cross-platform solutions

General understanding of hardware-software integration

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools

Strong grasp of system design and software architecture

Familiarity with C, C++, Go or Zig is a plus About the Team This role is part of a fast-moving R&D group focused on developing innovative solutions in biomedical and detection technologies. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers, contributing to impactful projects that bridge software and hardware.
