Senior Embedded Software EngineerWe are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Linux‑based systems for our robotics platform. In this role you will own features end‑to‑end, collaborate across disciplines, and bring technical depth in Linux BSPs, kernel driver development, wireless subsystems, and camera sensor integration.
Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software systems for our robots.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements and hardware/software architecture.
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers for custom hardware and device integration.
- Design and implement Ethernet networking solutions, including protocols, drivers, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain wireless network drivers — including Wi‑Fi and cellular.
- Develop and integrate camera sensor drivers — including V4L2, MIPI CSI‑2, I2C/SPI, GMSL, and FPD.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Linux system development and embedded software engineering.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in kernel‑level programming and Linux driver development.
- Experience with camera sensor driver development and/or networking driver development.
- Nice to have:
Experience with NVIDIA Jetson and Orin platform development and BSP customization. - Nice to have:
Experience with Yocto/Open Embedded.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
- Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi‑weekly basis.
