Senior SQA Engineer

Join our team as a Senior SQA Engineer at Symbotic, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of cutting‑edge warehouse automation. This role focuses on end‑to‑end testing across a distributed software ecosystem that integrates real‑time orchestration, robotics, and customer‑facing applications.

• Lead end‑to‑end system validation across a multi‑component, distributed software stack.
• Design and execute testing for integration, workflows, and cross‑service interactions.
• Test within simulation, digital twin, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) environments.
• Diagnose and triage issues across application software, distributed services, APIs, and simulation or test infrastructure.
• Validate API contracts, data flow, and system behavior under load, including latency, throughput, and resilience.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure quality across releases.
• Help evolve test strategy, tooling, and team capabilities.

• Minimum of 5 years in QA, systems validation, or integration testing.
• Experience testing distributed systems or multi‑service architectures.
• Hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) and/or simulation environment experience.
• Strong debugging skills across multiple system layers.
• Experience with end‑to‑end and integration testing.
• Familiarity with APIs, messaging systems, or asynchronous architectures.
• Exposure to cloud‑based systems.

• Background in robotics, IoT, automotive, or industrial systems.
• Experience with real‑time or highly orchestrated systems.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Rabbit
  
  MQ, or similar.
• Experience with performance and scalability testing.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks (tool‑agnostic).

Up to 10% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi‑weekly basis.
