What We Need

We are looking for an Advanced Software Engineer to join our Micro‑fulfillment team within our Software Engineering organization. The role plays a critical part in maintaining motion planning, execution, and tasking services for a state‑of‑the‑art Micro‑fulfillment system for grocery supply chain automation.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop robotic motion planning, execution, and tasking solutions for the Micro‑fulfillment System.
  • Work with electrical, mechanical, systems, and safety teams to document and detail software requirements.
  • Write and review modular, well‑documented code.
  • Develop software unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests.
What You’ll Need
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Core Java development (Java 8 or above).
  • Experience developing reactive microservices (e.g., Akka, Vert.x, RxJava) or event‑driven distributed systems using asynchronous actors and messaging.
  • Experience with a messaging platform (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience in robotics and/or automation, especially in robotic routing.
  • Experience with No

    SQL databases and in‑memory caches such as Redis.
  • Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.).
  • Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, or similar).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Our Environment
  • Up to 10% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to client and other customer locations.
  • Employees are responsible for managing and reimbursing expenses on a bi‑weekly basis.
