The Health Solutions Business Unit at Analog Devices is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native backend platforms supporting connected medical devices and digital health solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud services that support healthcare applications operating in regulated environments.

The successful candidate will collaborate across engineering and cross-functional teams to build backend systems supporting medical device connectivity, data management, remote monitoring, and clinical workflows. This role requires strong experience in backend application development, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and AWS cloud services, along with an understanding of security, privacy, and compliance requirements for healthcare products. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer with experience building products from concept to market, capable of solving complex technical challenges and delivering scalable, high-quality software that supports patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native backend services supporting connected medical devices, Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), and digital health solutions.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, event‑driven systems, and cloud platform services.
• Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable backend applications using Java, Python, and modern software engineering practices.
• Design and implement cloud solutions leveraging AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Cognito, and related platform technologies.
• Contribute to backend platform development throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and development through validation, deployment, and post‑market support.
• Design and implement secure APIs, authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, and data protection mechanisms supporting HIPAA and healthcare security requirements.
• Support software verification and validation activities in accordance with regulated medical device development practices, including FDA expectations and applicable industry standards.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, infrastructure‑as‑code solutions, and cloud deployment processes.
• Support the reliability, performance, monitoring, and operational readiness of cloud‑based production systems.

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, backend development, cloud engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience developing backend applications using Java, preferably with Spring Boot, as well as Python. Experience with Node.js is a plus.
