The Delivery Driver role includes picking up and dropping off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules, and ensuring orders are properly fulfilled. You should be thorough, customer‑focused, and committed to work safety. To succeed, you should be polite, prompt, a team player, and dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience.
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
- Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and adapt to additional routes as needed to deliver on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at the customer’s location.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints or concerns.
- Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile debt and credit and all monies collected related to deliveries.
- Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle when applicable and notify manager of any issues.
- Assist in other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current, valid driver’s license
- Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs)
- Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
- Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking and customer interface/signature capture
- Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and tactfully
- Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed (preferred)
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
- You must meet all of the above minimum “Requirements and Qualifications” and “Knowledge,
