Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailer units, and possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting freight across designated routes while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all regulations. M-F between 6:00am - 6:00pm with staggered shifts.
- Operate tractor-trailer vehicles, including manual transmission, and other types of trucks as required.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and delivery details.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport.
- Assist in route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and minimize delays.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service at delivery and pick-up sites
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
- Follow TSA Chain of Custody protocols and ensure freight is protected at all times.
- Comply with all DOT, TSA, and company safety policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers.
- Experience in route driving with a focus on timely deliveries is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Drivers are expected to actively use dispatch and tracking app throughout each shift to receive assignments, confirm deliveries, and provide real-time visibility to operations
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must pass and maintain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment (STA).
- Must adhere to all TSA cargo security regulations and company chain-of-custody procedures.
- Background check and pre-employment drug screening may be required.
