Schedule: 4-Day Workweek (40 hours) | Monday–Friday (day off for the 4-10 schedule to be determined), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (There may be times you will be required to work outside your normal schedule)

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented
Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations within a well-established and collaborative organization in Wilmington, NC. This role focuses on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance.

- Manage full-cycle
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice review, coding, and payment tracking - Prepare and post
journal entries and maintain accurate
general ledger records - Assist with
monthly and year-end close procedures - Perform
bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations - This job requires budget preparation and tax returns for not-for-profit homeowners associations
- Support
budget tracking, variance reporting, and financial monitoring - Maintain organized and compliant financial documentation
- Assist in preparation of
financial reports and internal statements - Support transition from
Quick Books to Northstar and ensure data accuracy during migration - Collaborate with internal team members and communicate financial information clearly
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and timeliness in all accounting functions
- High accuracy in financial records and reporting
- Timely completion of close cycles and reconciliations
- Strong organization and documentation standards
- Reliable execution of daily accounting responsibilities
- Consistent productivity and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required)
- 2–3 years of professional accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, reporting, budget preparation)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting systems
- Knowledge ofGAAP principles
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Accounting skill proficiency assessment required
- Background check, drug screening, and MVR check required upon hire
- Must be eligible to drive a company vehicle after permanent hire (as needed)
