Accountant Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, cost accounting functions, financial reporting, and ongoing accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support costing activities, including inventory, labor, and manufacturing cost analysis
- Analyze variances and assist with reporting on operational and financial performance
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
- Support inventory accounting and periodic inventory reconciliations
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure accurate cost tracking
- Assist with audits and provide requested documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience required
- Experience with month-end close and cost accounting strongly preferred
- Manufacturing or industrial industry experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and works closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams.
