  • Support plant cost accounting activities, including standard cost updates and validation of usage rates and labor hours in partnership with Engineering and Operations
  • Assist with inventory accounting processes, including valuation, slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB) reserves, write-offs, and related analysis
  • Facilitate appropriation request processes, monitor capital spending, process asset capitalizations, and maintain the fixed asset ledger
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for capital projects, strategic investments, cost reduction initiatives, and other plant priorities
  • Partner with department managers to monitor spending, research expense variances, and provide actionable cost insights
  • Assist with inventory counts, fixed asset physicals, audit support, and SOX documentation updates
  • Help improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and financial analysis through process improvement, automation, and effective use of digital tools
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support as needed

- Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Proven knowledge of US GAAP. Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting. Experience supporting period-end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify issues, research root causes, and communicate practical recommendations. Internal controls mindset; able to support control documentation, testing, and audit/SOX activities.

Advanced Excel skills, including models, pivot tables, and lookup functions. Working knowledge of ERP/finance systems to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze data. Ability to perform variance analysis and explain financial results clearly. Foundational understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and fixed asset/capitalization processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and plant leadership.
