Senior Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with financial statement preparation, and delivering accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

• Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare management reporting packages and supporting schedules.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or a combination of both.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
