Under direction, the Accountant, Grants Accounting & Reporting Services position adheres to generally accepted accounting principles and performs a variety of professional level accounting duties involved in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial statements, reports, and reports. This position will be working with non-financial aid grants which the College receives. This role works in partnership with the employees that are managing the grants and the office that submits the grants.

- Performs fiscal responsibilities for grants and contracts including invoicing, monthly cash drawdowns/requests, assisting with budgets, and reviewing and approving payments and requisitions.
- Reconciles accounts and complex transactions. Summarizes financial positions. Performs analysis on grants and projects.
- Assists auditors, both external college auditors and fiscal reviews from funding agencies.
- Submits reports to funding agencies, as required.
- Abides by federal, state, and other regulations regarding each grant. Completes necessary training to be knowledgeable on grant regulations.
- Collaborates with Grant Administration office, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Financial Aid, Financial Accounting, and Payroll to ensure that work is completed accurately.
- Ensures that College fiscal policies and procedures are followed with grants. Collaborates with College departments to determine the accounting for different types of contracts.
- Adheres to generally accepted accounting principles. Supports accounting department, as needed.

- Attends all required department meetings and training.
- Works overtime, as required to meet workload demands.
- Other duties as required.
- Associate's Degree in Accounting or closely related field.
- One (1) year of accounting experience
- * An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.
State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
