** Description of Work
** This Processing Assistant position is a clerical/support third-party position which supports service delivery for transition students with a variety of disabilities in the Gaston County Schools. This is the clerical support position for 2 Rehabilitation Counselors. This is one of 4 third-party positions with Gaston County Schools, and it needs to be filled in order for VR to meet its agreed upon responsibilities as identified in the Cooperative Agreement with the Gaston County School System.
Job responsibilities include the following:
• Greeting visitors and callers courteously and professionally, to include contact with staff, vendors, other departments and the public
• Using a multi-line phone system to answer and route calls to appropriate staff members
• Preparing documents, maintaining spreadsheets, inputting data, and completing billing processes for assigned staff
• Receiving applications from clients, along with requesting and obtaining medical/treatment records
• Documenting client information, interactions, and services into the case management system throughout the rehabilitation process
• Utilizing office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet office needs

** Salary Range: $39,244 -$68,679**##
** Recruitment Range: $37,782-$ - $46,000

* • Knowledge of and/or experience working with persons with disabilities
• Experience providing effective front-line service to the public, including responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining professionalism in and fast-paced environments
• Experience performing routine administrative and office support functions such as data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and filing, with accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of and/or experience with case management systems
• Knowledge of or experience working within a team setting
* Position is funded in part through federal funds.
* Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours
