This is a temporary position, and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Note:
Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs.

This temporary position is located at 3301 Terminal Drive, Raleigh, NC 27604
- Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services.
$19.50 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
- Answer a high volume of calls.
- Work independently to manage calls from claimants, schools, SSA Field offices, and others in the medical and legal communities.
- Responsible for communicating relevant information for each contact to the appropriate persons in accordance with Disability Contact Center guidelines.
- Assist in providing coverage for the DDS receptionist area as requested by the DCC supervisor.
- Demonstrate experience in written and oral communication with i stakeholders from various backgrounds.
- Demonstrate experience in switching between multiple tasks.
- Ability to exercise attention to detail in work tasks.
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
