A loving Montessori family in Durham is looking for a nurturing nanny – JOB 229
This growing family of four, with a 5-year-old kindergartner and a 4-month-old baby, is seeking a nurturing and organized full‑time nanny. The nanny will primarily care for the infant, as the eldest child is in school during the day and arrives home at 3:30 pm. The ideal candidate should have experience with infants, an understanding of child development, and be comfortable using the Montessori method.
The family is seeking a nanny who is kind, patient, and experienced with infants and young children. They value someone who is punctual, organized, and proactive, with a natural affinity for children. The nanny should be comfortable fostering the children’s early development, both physically and academically, in a nurturing and structured environment. The family values kind and respectful communication with their children, and they practice the Montessori method in their parenting.
They run a low/no-tech household, encouraging creativity, outdoor activities, and exposure to diverse cultural experiences. The ideal nanny will be a partner in fostering a positive, engaging, and educational environment for their children. Occasional longer hours or care for both children may be required (e.g., during school closures or when one parent is traveling). If the eldest child is home due to illness, the nanny will not be expected to interact with her to minimize the risk of spreading any illness.
If you are passionate about childcare and interested in joining a laid‑back yet organized family, this could be the perfect long‑term position for you!
