Children's Cottage of Wilmington, a licensed childcare center, is seeking a Lead Teacher to support toddlers. To be qualified we require a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass all background checks; preference is given to those with an associate or bachelor's degree. BSAC credentials are required. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm

$15–$17 per hour, based on education and experience

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to the classroom schedule/daily routine; use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Be responsible for the safety and well‑being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Have physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfil all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
