We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee concrete construction projects in Wilmington, NC. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through final completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in concrete construction, sitework, foundations, slabs, structural concrete, and flatwork
, and is comfortable coordinating field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Manage concrete construction projects from contract award through closeout
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and cost control for multiple active projects
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes
- Track production, labor costs, equipment usage, and project profitability
- Manage change orders, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
- Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality control, and schedule adherence
- Maintain communication with owners, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in concrete construction
- Strong knowledge of foundations, slabs-on-grade, structural concrete, flatwork, and site concrete
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Experience with budgeting, job cost tracking, and project financial reporting
- Strong leadership and subcontractor coordination skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or multi-family projects
- Knowledge of North Carolina building codes and local permitting processes
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
