Kent Homes is a second‑generation, female‑owned luxury home builder serving southeastern North Carolina. Since 1989, we have built our reputation on craftsmanship, quality, integrity, personalized attention, and a smarter way to build a luxury home. We believe our customers are a blessing, not a burden, and we are committed to delivering one of the most satisfying homebuilding experiences possible.
Our team is built around doing the right thing, following through, working proactively, supporting one another, and continually improving our people, processes, systems, and customer experience. We believe in protecting the brand, defending the bottom line, maintaining a positive and professional work environment, and keeping family first while still finishing strong for our clients and team.
We are hiring a Project Manager to join our production team. The Project Manager plays a critical role in customer satisfaction, construction quality, schedule performance, budget control, trade coordination, and protecting the Kent Homes brand.
This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts builder, communicator, organizer, problem‑solver, and customer advocate. The right person has strong construction knowledge, can lead trade partners effectively, communicates professionally with homeowners, inspectors, vendors, and internal team members, and takes pride in doing things right the first time.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners from job start through homeowner orientation, providing clear communication and a professional customer experience.
- Conduct pre‑construction meetings with customers and sales staff to transition each project from the sales and selections process into construction.
- Review plans, specifications, selections, estimates, schedules, and job details before construction begins.
- Coordinate trade contractors, vendors, inspections, materials, and just‑in‑time deliveries to avoid delays, dry runs, and unnecessary costs.
- Use the formal scheduling system to maintain accurate job schedules, proper sequencing, and timely completion of each home.
- Process purchase order approvals, variance purchase orders, work authorizations, and other job‑related documentation accurately and on time.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve field problems, schedule conflicts, trade issues, material concerns, customer requests, and quality concerns with urgency and professionalism.
- Train and guide trade partners on Kent Homes' construction methods, quality standards, safety expectations, and field problem resolution.
- Communicate job status clearly with trades, production, customers, inspectors, and internal team members.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed on all jobs and support compliance with OSHA and Kent Homes safety standards.
- Attend and participate in production meetings, training sessions, trade meetings, and ongoing process improvement efforts.
- Support successful home completions, customer satisfaction, quality assurance, budget performance, and overall production goals.
- 5+ years of residential construction project management or superintendent experience preferred.
