Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager
Seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide field leadership across multiple heavy civil construction projects. This is an operational leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality while developing field teams and driving operational excellence.
The General Superintendent partners closely with Project Managers, Estimators, Division Leadership, and clients to oversee project execution from mobilization through completion. This individual serves as a mentor to superintendents and foreman, identifies opportunities to improve field operations, and helps build a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and oversight for multiple heavy civil construction projects simultaneously.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Foreman, and field crews.
- Promote and enforce a best-in-class safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, production, manpower, equipment utilization, and quality to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to proactively identify and resolve schedule, productivity, and resource challenges.
- Participate in project planning and preconstruction meetings.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to evaluate safety, quality, productivity, and leadership effectiveness.
- Foster strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
- Support project closeout activities and capture lessons learned to improve future performance.
- Extensive experience leading heavy civil construction projects, including site development, roadway, bridge, utility or related infrastructure work.
- Proven ability to lead multiple project teams while building trust and accountability.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, production planning, equipment utilization, and cost awareness.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the company's operating region.
