We are partnering with a well-established commercial construction company that is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its Raleigh, NC team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a strong background in multifamily projects, particularly garden-style and podium/wrap construction.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing commercial projects from preconstruction through completion, with the leadership, organization, and communication skills needed to keep complex projects on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall execution
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules
- Manage subcontractor relationships and oversee scopes of work
- Track project costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule
- Work closely with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Assist with procurement, buyout, and subcontractor negotiations
- Drive projects through successful turnover and closeout
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
- Experience with garden-style, wrap, podium, or similar multifamily developments
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scheduling, and contracts
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple project stakeholders
- Strong financial and budget management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
