We are currently seeking an Estimator for our headquarters in Wilmington, NC. We would consider this role for a remote or hybrid work situation; ideally 20% WFH and 80% in office. Will consider candidates outside of region and will offer relocation assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS- MUST have 3 or more years of experience estimating for US based commercial and/or federal construction.
- 5 or more years' experience in commercial, institutions, or military construction estimating preferred.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- RS Means, e4
Clicks, experience preferred.
- Prepares and maintains status of plan reproduction.
- Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepares subcontractor scopes of work.
- Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractors.
- Ensures multiple bidders on each trade.
- Ensures proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day.
- Contacts supply houses to obtain material quotes.
- Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors.
- Enters all relevant information into the estimate.
- Adheres to standard project estimation, approval, and change control processes.
- Identifies issues and risks; develops approaches to minimize and mitigate.
- Resolves conflict and escalates issues when necessary.
