Brief Summary of Work for this PositionThe Honors College at UNCW is seeking a Student Services Coordinator to join a growing interdisciplinary College. The Coordinator will provide support in the following areas:
- Admissions Coordination: broad scope of duties including student visits and campus visitation events; application tracking, reporting, reading, and some decision-making; disseminating admissions decisions; maintaining data integrity related to applications; coordinating print and digital marketing campaigns; performing virtual and in-person recruitment presentations for high schools; serving as the first point of contact for prospective students; collaborating with HRL to assign housing to first-year LLC students;
development and facilitation of admissions workshops. - Managing Scholarship Awarding: work with the Director and other staff to award and renew scholarships through Next Gen; report on student scholarships to support development and fundraising; interpret policies and requirements to students and families.
- Departmental Honors (thesis) Coordination: track all thesis projects from application to final submittal; handle forms and approvals; serve as first point of contact for questions; facilitate thesis course-building with the Registrar; work with the Library archivist; maintain up-to-date information and policies on the website and Canvas course.
- Creating Honors College Reports & Data Management: coordinate data collection for inclusion in industry publications, annual reports, and monthly updates to administrators.
- Student Programming: brainstorm and implement social, educational, volunteer, and professional development programs; coordinate event logistics; pursue co-sponsorship opportunities; build relationships with external partners; collaborate with nonprofits and community agencies for experiential learning and service opportunities.
