Pro Sidian seeks an Instructional Designer for Language and Cultural Training to support professional services engagements for Education and Academia Sector Clients such as the Department of Army. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W‑2 (IRS‑1099) position and Pro Sidian reserves the right to convert to a Full‑Time Pro Sidian‑employed W‑2 position.
JOB OVERVIEWProvide services and support as a Language and Culture Services Support (Instructional Designer for Language and Cultural Training) in the Education and Academia Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as the Department of Army.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES- Develop language and culture training aligned with Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and adult learning theories.
- Create lesson plans that meet ILR levels, integrating operationally relevant content.
- Collect and integrate student and instructor feedback.
- Proven experience in designing curricula, especially for military audiences.
- Understanding of Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) standards and proficiency levels.
- Bachelor’s in Education, Instructional Design, or related field;
Master’s preferred. - 3+ years in designing language or cultural training programs.
- Proficiency in instructional technology and adult learning principles.
- Ability to handle multiple design tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe.

THE ROLE
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Revise training materials to reflect the latest trends, techniques, and military requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, adjusting content based on trainee feedback.
