Role DescriptionThis is a part‑time in‑person role for a Piano Teacher based in Wilmington, NC. The Piano Teacher will be responsible for conducting one‑on‑one piano lessons, teaching music theory and piano techniques, creating lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, and encouraging students' musical growth and confidence. In this role, strong communication and an ability to inspire students of diverse skill levels are essential.
Qualifications- Strong proficiency in Piano Playing and Piano‑related skills
- Experience or training in Piano Education and Music Education
- Knowledge and application of Music Theory
- Ability to create engaging, customized lesson plans
- Effective communication, patience, and ability to work with students of different ages and abilities
- Experience with performance or professional piano playing is a plus
- Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field preferred but not required
- Instructors provide one‑on‑one piano instruction with students in levels (beginner to advanced) and ages (5 to adult)
- Instructors may work around 3‑5 days a week, and have back‑to‑back students for approximately 5‑6 hours each day.
- Our studio teaches lessons throughout the summer and school year.
- Instructor has the freedom to create and compile their own lesson plans, curriculum, and method of teaching.
- Must have a Music degree OR experience teaching private lessons before
- Must have own transportation
- Must be interested in working with students of all ages and experience, cultivating relationships with students and their families, and providing a fun and educational atmosphere
- Availability Needed:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. - Must be able to provide a resume with at least two references
