At the heart of GLOW Academy is a focus on “whole girl” education. We seek to foster the growth of leadership and confidence in our students and build and sustain family support, all while engaging all of our students in a rigorous college preparatory program. • NC Teacher Certification in the subject area and relevant grades.
• Demonstrated ability to teach middle school and/or high school grades 6‑12 with a passion for and competency in the appropriate subject area; experience teaching 8th grade Science and preparing students to take the 8th grade Science EOG preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build a warm and inclusive classroom environment, implement positive behavior practices, and build strong relationships with students and families to support student success.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate rigorous and engaging lessons aligned to the content standards outlined in the NC Standard Course of Study.
• Awareness of educational issues regarding the academic and social development of a diverse population of students, including minority and socioeconomically disadvantaged adolescent girls from high‑needs neighborhoods/communities.
