Temporary Faculty - School of Nursing | Academic Year

Temporary faculty position for the 2026–2027 Academic Year, teaching courses in one or more of the following disciplines:
Nursing, Clinical Research.

The academic calendar includes the following semesters:
Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Undergraduate course teaching: Master’s degree with 9 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline (nursing only) from an accredited institution.
  • Graduate course teaching: Terminal doctoral degree (nursing, research, education) from an accredited institution.
  • Equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures may also be considered.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Teaching experience preferred.

Required Certifications or Licensure
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) faculty must have an active North Carolina NP license and board certification.
  • Prelicensure and Nurse Educator faculty must have a North Carolina RN license.

The School of Nursing (SON) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) offers a range of degree and certificate programs, including BSN, DNP, MSN, and Clinical Research tracks.
