Wilmington School of the Arts is a tuition-free, public charter school. We offer a public school education with the opportunity for project based learning and arts integrated curricula and lessons. WSA infuses music, language, dance, and visual arts into our everyday academic curriculum, while also ensuring that students get their academic needs met by following all NC grade level content standards.

Wilmington School of the Arts is seeking a committed, team-oriented EC Instructional Assistant to facilitate the delivery of instruction on our Floral Campus (grades 1 and
2). Wilmington school of the Arts is a small tight knit family feel, with very active families and staff members, so collaboration is important to our team.

- Work with the school Administrative Team, which includes our EC Director, and our EC Teachers and other school staff to best serve the individual needs of our student body and EC population.
- Be open to learning grade level content, as well as ways to differentiate and deliver instruction
- Understand matters of legal compliance as it pertains to EC
- Be student-centered and advocate for the best interest of students within their caseload
- Have a thoughtful, and caring demeanor when dealing with students and parents. Our school uses positive discipline as our model for student and family interactions, and we expect all staff to be a part of upholding this culture.

A background check through the New Hanover County Sheriff's Department, as well as the possession of a valid TB test issued by the local county board of health or recognized medical authority is required for employment.
