Role
Description:
The Violin Teacher will provide high-quality instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels in an on-site, studio-based setting in Wilmington, NC. This role includes planning and teaching individual and group violin lessons, developing lesson plans that integrate music theory and technique, and preparing students for recitals, auditions, and ensemble performances. The teacher will assess student progress, offer constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to support diverse learning styles and goals.
Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with other faculty, participating in studio events, communicating with families or caregivers regarding student development, and contributing to the overall educational mission of PCCOM.
This is a part-time contract position requiring on-site availability exclusively on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
. Applicants must be available to teach during peak studio hours on these specific days.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in violin and music performance skills.
- Solid understanding of music theory and general music fundamentals.
- Experience in music education and teaching methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to design engaging, level-appropriate curricula and lesson plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Prior teaching experience in private studio or school settings is preferred.
