ResponsibilitiesSubstitute Teacher: Support students in grades K-8 during the absence of the classroom teacher. Responsibilities include supervising students in the assigned class, maintaining order and safety, executing the plan left by the classroom teacher, following the assigned schedule for the classroom, supervising students during arrival, breakfast, transitions, lunch and dismissal, following oral and written directions, taking attendance, and reporting lunch selections.
Coach: Serve as head or assistant coach for middle school boys' and girls' athletic teams. Duties include supervising students, providing constructive feedback, organizing events and logistics such as requesting transportation and ensuring uniforms and equipment are available, and serving as a role model for students.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma and experience working with children in a K-12 environment.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience2- or 4‑year degree.
Work Hours & ScheduleSchool hours are 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. Work days:
Monday – Friday. Hours per week vary based on need.
This is a temporary position. The assignment length will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31‑day break from employment. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
