Responsibilities- Plan and deliver instruction and assessments based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, enabling students to learn subject matter and skills that contribute to their educational and social development.
- Utilize a personalized student data management system to individualize learning experiences and support each student's full potential.
- Use ongoing formative assessment to provide data for instructional decisions and design appropriate interventions.
- Act as a member of the school's kinship network and professional learning communities within the Watson College of Education.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. - Preferred:
Master’s degree in education or related field. - Valid North Carolina teaching license.
- Dual certification.
- Eligible to hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Experience mentoring pre‑service or beginning teachers.
- National Board Certification.
- Experience working with diverse populations and students who have historically struggled academically and socially.
- Evidence of participation in training and learning opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Progress on the NC Educator Effectiveness Rating Scale or comparable metric aligned with North Carolina Teaching Standards.
