PrimaryPurpose of Organizational Unit
Academic Affairs is the central division for implementing the mission of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Through effective academic policies, practices and programs, it provides leadership for excellence in teaching, scholarship and creative work as well as service to local, regional and global communities. The division allocates resources to recruit and retain faculty scholars and to create a learning environment that encourages students.
The business world is transforming itself from the industrial age into the information age of tomorrow. Business education at the Cameron School of Business is focused on the technical, analytical and interpersonal skills students will need to lead this fundamental change in the business world through the first half of the 21st century.
