The Assistant Director is responsible for planning and implementing co-curricular programs that enhance the student experience and support retention and engagement of all students. The position hires, trains, and supervises two professional Coordinators to develop and advise the Association of Campus Entertainment (ACE), and the campus-wide programming board. As the Ann Flack Boseman Art Gallery's curator, this position also curates 4-6 exhibits yearly.

The Assistant Director hires, trains, and supervises the Campus Life marketing team and is responsible for departmental marketing initiatives, including, but not limited to social media account management, website content, copy and design editing, video editing and more. The Assistant Director will incorporate student development theory and best practices in student affairs, high-impact practices, and applied learning into supervision, advising, and program development.

• Master's degree and 3 or more years of professional experience is required.
• Successful programming experience to a diverse audiences.
• Knowledge and experience in program development and evaluation.
• Experience utilizing assessment data to inform programming and business practices.
• Experience supervising and advising undergraduate and graduate students.
• Experience developing program marketing and use of social media platforms.

• Knowledge of performance contract processes, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Knowledge of basic budgeting principles.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities and experience.
• Experience with social media and design platforms (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
• Experience with Engage (Anthology) or other student engagement and student organization management platforms.
