Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Management Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for one full-time lecturer (non-tenure track) faculty position in Management beginning Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach eight courses in competitive/integrative/management strategy and organizational,leadership/change, and will also be able to contribute to othercore disciplines within the management curriculum as departmental needs evolve. The successful candidate will also participate in departmental and student activities, provide departmental and university service,and engage in community outreach to expand our visibility and student enrollment and participation in the program.

This position will be expected to maintain professional qualification througheither professional engagement, research, or other means.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • A master's degree from an AACSB-accredited institution in management, strategic management, or a closely related field at thetime of application.
  • Candidates must have evidence of 3+ years of successful teaching at the university level in management, strategy, and/orrelated management disciplines.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years professional experience in management, strategy, leadership, or a related field.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills &Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of industry/field experience in management, strategy, leadership, or a closely related field.
  • Evidence of successful teaching at the university level andacross multiple modalities (in-person, hybrid, online)
  • Demonstrated interest in leading student-centeredactivities
  • Preference given to candidates with a terminal degree from anAACSB-accredited Business School Demonstrated experience teaching across multiple modalities

The CSB'sDepartment of Management serves over 500 undergraduate majors andoffers concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Business Development, Human Resource Management, Management &Leadership, and International Business. Faculty also teach withinthe Executive MBA, Online MBA, International MBA (IMBA), andPost-Baccalaureate Certificate programs.
