Job Description Summary

Lead Transient Analysis Engineer position to perform thermal‑hydraulic and plant transient analyses for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) applications. The role is customer‑focused, leading a variety of projects, and is technically mentored by a high‑performing engineering team. The preferred work location is GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC, with remote candidates considered.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead projects on Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses.
  • Deliver high‑quality products consistently in line with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Communicate, present, and collaborate effectively with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize and develop automation tools and cutting‑edge methods to improve transient analysis work processes.
  • Prepare thorough technical reports, documentation, calculations, and correspondence.
  • Verify technical deliverables and provide expert engineering guidance and mentoring.
  • Present complex technical issues to customers and recommend solutions.
  • Implement continual improvement of transient analysis processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant nuclear industry experience.
  • Access to U.S. export‑controlled information is required; final offers contingent on obtaining the necessary authorization.
  • Preferred experience with BWR core simulation, thermal‑hydraulic systems codes, and plant thermal hydraulic analyses.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization.
