Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Engineer to join a growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an Engineer in Training (EIT) with experience in water resources engineering. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering projects involving design, permitting, and construction support while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering and water resources projects.
- Prepare technical calculations and engineering analyses.
- Utilize industry-standard CAD software to create and modify project plans and models.
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate project submittals with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technicians, architects, and clients throughout project development.
- Review and interpret engineering codes, standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and construction drawings.
- Support construction activities by addressing design-related issues and providing technical guidance.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with CAD design software and civil engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and water resources systems.
- Experience preparing permits and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, and water resources permitting.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting projects through design, permitting, and construction phases.
