Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Early-Career Water Resources Engineer in one of our following offices:
Wilmington, NC;
Charlotte, NC;
Raleigh, NC;
Greenville, SC. This position offers the opportunity to be hybrid in one of the offices listed. The position will work with a multi-disciplinary team where you will apply your academic knowledge and practical experience to real-world situations related to water resources and ecological restoration projects while also learning and expanding the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling;
- Watershed, stormwater management, and stream restoration design and analysis;
- Surface water quality/hydrodynamic modeling and environmental data analysis;
- Green infrastructure/low impact development best management practice design;
- Floodplain modeling and permitting;
- Erosion and sediment control design;
- Clean Water Act/National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance;
- Civil/infrastructure design and site layout;
- Site visits/field investigations; and
- Preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
- Bachelors degree in civil, environmental, or agricultural/biosystems engineering or related science. (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering or science. (preferred)
- Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
- Experience with modeling/design tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and TR-55. (preferred)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Some field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
