Senior Transient Reload Projects Engineer
This Senior Transient Reload Projects Engineer position will make immediate contributions working with an energetic, diverse team of engineers performing Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) transient analyses and thermal hydraulic analyses supporting a variety of applications. This position will have responsibility for executing the transient analysis reload projects for the existing operating fleet applying nuclear/thermal hydraulic methods to demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements and deliver transient analyses supporting Supplemental Reload Licensing Reports.

Roles and Responsibilities- Provide reload transient analysis project leadership on a production-oriented engineering analysis team.
- Ensure on-time delivery of thorough and accurate engineering analysis, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations supporting reload analysis work.
- Provide day-to-day oversight and schedule statusing for reload activities, implementing reload delivery meetings and oversight as necessary to ensure reliable delivery of high quality analyses.
- Working in tandem with the plant Technical Leader, manage and execute solutions to complex technical issues for internal and external customers that arise during reload analyses.
- Provide and facilitate technical mentoring to support transient analysis staff development and knowledge management.
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).
- A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the nuclear industry
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC.

- Demonstrated understanding of GNF reload licensing process
- Relevant experience with BWR core simulation or thermal-hydraulic systems analysis (e.g. PANACEA, ODYN, TRACG, RELAP).
- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
- Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR.
- Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques
