Mechanical​/Electrical Cabinet Design Engineer

Job Title

Deliver high quality engineering mechanical cabinet drawings utilized in the retrofit applications of new I&C Electronic System replacement. Plan DIN rail, terminal block, and assembly for logical signal flow and clean wiring. Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, and wiring diagrams using CAD software. Design enclosure layouts and cooling solutions to manage heat dissipation for solid-state devices. Routing power and control wiring to minimize interference and maintain code compliance.

Select appropriate components (relays, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, etc.) based on application and standards. Work with the Technical Leader to establish an effective work plan, including time estimates, requirements, and work processes. Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and documentation packages for production and customers. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (UL508A, NEC, CE, IEC, etc.). Support testing, and troubleshooting during production and commissioning.

Associate/Bachelor/Master’s degree in Mechatronics, CAD/CAM, Electrical Engineering. 3+ years of experience in electrical/control panel design. Proficient with CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor, CREO, Pro-panel). Experience with ERP systems for BOM management.

Experience in Nuclear.
