Job Responsibilities
- Work on impactful, technically challenging projects in the nuclear power generation industry.
- Participate in work rotations across disciplines such as Design, Analysis, Systems, Integration, Controls, etc., over approximately 2 years.
- Enhance core engineering skills through technical, business, and general development training.
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world‑class technologists and experienced technical managers.
- Collaborate in general development and technical training activities with other program members.
- Grow technical expertise in your chosen field and expand skills in new areas.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Controls, Civil/Structural, Materials, Software, Computer Engineering or other energy‑related majors from an ABET‑accredited university.
- Ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
- Ability and willingness to work full‑time and in‑person in Wilmington, NC.
- Overall GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Passion or desire to work in the nuclear industry.
- Prior internship, co‑op, or research experience in the power industry, design engineering or nuclear engineering.
- Highly motivated, self‑starter, energetic, confident, and flexible in changing environments.
- Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering.
- Analytical approach to problem solving and learning agility.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
- Demonstrated and enthusiastic leadership and team‑building skills.
- Strong team and interpersonal skills; ability to work in project teams.
- Proven scholastic achievements and proactive leadership skills.
Upon completion of the two‑year program you will transition into a full‑time Engineering role within the Nuclear organization, applying your technical expertise to design, systems, integration, or controls projects.
