Senior NPI Engineer
We are working with an innovative technology manufacturer that designs and produces advanced RF, microwave and mmWave solutions used in mission-critical applications across global markets. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to support the introduction of cutting-edge products from proto@type through to full-scale production.
The RoleWorking at the interface between Engineering and Manufacturing, you'll play a key role in ensuring new products are introduced efficiently, delivering robust, scalable and repeatable manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from proto@type through to production release.
- Developing and optimising manufacturing processes for new products.
- Supporting Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities.
- Analysing RF test data to improve product performance, process capability and manufacturing yield.
- Investigating manufacturing and RF performance issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Supporting production ramp-up and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Designing manufacturing tooling and fixtures where required.
- Producing technical documentation, manufacturing procedures and engineering reports.
- Collaborating with RF Design, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality and Test teams.
You will have:
- HND, Degree or equivalent experience in Electronic Engineering, RF Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience introducing new electronic, RF or microwave products into manufacturing.
- A background in high-tech manufacturing environments such as RF, microwave, aerospace, defence, electronics or semiconductor sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC and FMEA.
Desirable experience includes:
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
- Familiarity with RF test equipment including VNAs, Spectrum Analysers and Signal Generators.
