Job Description Summary
The Asset Enhancements Services (AES) Projects Engineer will make immediate contributions working with an energetic, diverse team of engineers performing Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) fuel, safety, services, and thermal hydraulic analyses supporting a variety of applications. This position will have responsibility for executing the asset enhancement projects for the existing operating fleet to demonstrate compliance with licensing requirements and deliver engineering analyses supporting AES Projects such as Extended Power Uprates (EPUs), Maximum Extended Load Limit Limit Analyses Plus (MELLLA+), Thermal Power Optimizations, and other AES Engineering Analyses.
ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead engineering analysis projects on a production-oriented engineering analysis team.
- Ensure on‑time delivery of thorough and accurate engineering analyses, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations supporting AES work.
- Provide day‑to‑day oversight and schedule maintenance for engineering activities, implementing delivery meetings and oversight as necessary to ensure reliable delivery of high‑quality analyses.
- Work in tandem with the plant Technical Leader, manage and execute solutions to complex technical issues for internal and external customers that arise during reload analyses.
- Provide and facilitate technical mentoring to support transient analysis staff development and knowledge management.
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, or similar).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a technology or engineering role.
- Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong commitment to promoting a strong nuclear safety culture, prioritizing quality and safety over delivery.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis and licensing processes.
- Experience with BWR engineering analysis and integrated plant response.
- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and ability to conduct independent work requiring judgment in application of engineering techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and fundamental principles of nuclear engineering, including nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design as applied to BWR.
- Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques.

- Preferred work location: GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC; qualified remote candidates may be considered.
- This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information; final offers contingent on obtaining authorization from the U.S. Government.
- Pay range: $89,300.00 – $ with possible geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% in certain areas.
