Job Description
- The Project Technical Leader (PTL) role focuses on key areas of technical delivery within the Global Delivery Excellence Framework (GDEF) and works closely with the Project Manager.
- Develops and drives the technical vision of the project, reporting directly to the PM.
- Coordinates the technical content of design and non-design projects, emphasizing preemptive, preventive, and proactive approaches to mitigate circle backs.
- Creates engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, etc., meeting client project requirements.
- Reviews draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and signs off on completed designs.
- Ensures firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
- Performs site reviews and studies as required to align designs with location specifications.
- Updates design requirements as necessary.
- Develops and publishes white papers and technical design documentation; submits technical papers to journals.
- Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs and reviews draft proposals for adherence to regulations and best practices.
- Interacts with existing and prospective clients to review their design needs.
- Attends conferences and symposia to improve visibility of the firm’s products and services.
- Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff; mentors them for growth and may supervise their work.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency of travel contingent on duties.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Expert knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Expert knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
10% or less.
Salary RangeUSD $105,227 – $184,142.
