Job Summary

Systems engineering is a cross‑functional discipline that focuses on both business and technical needs. As a Services Instrumentation and Controls (SIC) Systems Engineer, you will design, develop and test I&C platforms for the BWRX‑300 Small Module Reactor, focusing on safety‑critical functions.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Conduct component and product integration activities.
  • Manage product and systems requirements, specifications and flow‑down.
  • Drive validation and verification activities, including system‑level testing.
  • Define product requirements for module, component, subcontractors and partner teams.
  • Manage interfaces between components and execution organizations.
  • Lead CTQ and risk trade studies.
  • Oversee product configuration management and configuration control system.
  • Develop in‑depth technical knowledge and execute policy/strategy.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in systems engineering for a highly regulated industry.
  • Eligibility to obtain U.S. export‑controlled information authorization from the U.S. Government.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (or Canada for Canadian applicants).
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with independent or team‑based system design or technical reviews, including requirements management, verification and validation.
  • Instrumentation and Controls system and/or platform systems engineering experience.
  • Nuclear system engineering experience, particularly Boiling Water Reactor or Small Module Reactor design.
  • Ability to apply common design patterns to solve technical challenges.
  • Experience with engineering project design methods from requirements definition through confirmation testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate clearly.
  • Creativity in proposing solutions and challenging status quo.
  • Continuous learning mindset, adopting new tools and improving processes.
  • Systems‑level thinking and approach.
Eligibility Requirements
  • U.S. applicants must obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
  • Canadian applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and will be required to report onsite to the Markham office three days a week.
  • All applicants must successfully complete a background investigation; U.S. applicants must also pass a drug screen.
  • Strong consideration will be given to Indigenous persons.
Pay & Benefits (Canada)

Salary range: $100,000 – $150,000

CAD. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus. Relocation assistance: provided.

Pay & Benefits (United States)

Salary range: $85,600 – $164,000

USD. Geographic differential of 110‑130% in certain areas. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus. Relocation assistance: provided.
