Job Description & How to Apply Below

North Carolina (Onsite)

We're looking for an Engineer who understands that great consumer products aren't just about appearance. They're about function, reliability, usability, manufacturability, and solving real customer problems.

You may not have worked on the most glamorous products, and that's exactly what makes your experience valuable. These aren't products designed simply to look good on a shelf. They're products that have a job to do... and need to do it exceptionally well.

You know how to take a concept, challenge the design, build it, test it, figure out what doesn't work, make it better, and ultimately get it into production.

If you're a hands-on Product Engineer who loves both innovation and the realities of manufacturing, this could be an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact on products used by consumers every day focusing on developing functional, reliable consumer products that serve an important purpose for customers.

The Product Engineer will work across the product development process, combining engineering expertise, creative problem-solving, CAD, tooling development, design for manufacturability, prototyping, testing, and validation to bring new product concepts to life.

Your primary focus will be to:
  • Develop innovative consumer products from initial concept through design, testing, validation, and commercialization
  • Translate customer needs and product concepts into practical, manufacturable engineering solutions
  • Create and refine detailed 3D models and designs using Solid Works
  • Partner with Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and other cross-functional teams throughout development
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize product design, tooling, materials, cost, and production
  • Support tooling development, including collaboration with mold/tooling suppliers and manufacturing partners
  • Develop prototypes and evaluate designs through hands-on testing and iteration
  • Establish and execute product testing and validation plans to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and customer requirements
  • Identify design and manufacturing challenges early and develop creative solutions

Investigate product performance and failure modes and implement design improvements
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and practical engineering
  • Help move products from an initial idea to a successful, production-ready product
Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience developing consumer products from concept through commercialization
  • Strong hands-on experience with Solid Works
  • Experience with tooling development and manufacturing processes, preferably including plastics and/or molded products
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Experience with product testing, validation, and verification
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex product and engineering problems through practical, hands-on engineering
  • Experience working collaboratively with Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers
  • Genuine interest in innovation and new product development
  • Ability to balance product performance, customer needs, manufacturability, cost, and speed to market
