Are you a Licensing Engineer looking to take ownership of regulatory projects, become a technical expert and work on genuinely groundbreaking nuclear technology?

On offer is the opportunity to join a newly established licensing division, work directly with the NRC on major regulatory programmes and take a high-autonomy role where you can help shape the function, processes and team as the business continues to grow.

This company is commercializing a pioneering laser-based technology designed to produce carbon-free nuclear fuel. With a small, highly technical team and ambitious growth plans, you'll be joining at a stage where your work will have genuine visibility and impact.

On offer is the chance to develop and defend licensing documentation, support NRC engagements, lead regulatory responses and contribute to the licensing strategy for a major nuclear facility. As the division grows, there is a clear opportunity to take on greater responsibility, mentor others and progress into a senior/technical leadership position.

This role would suit a Nuclear Licensing Engineer looking for greater technical ownership, exposure to the NRC and the opportunity to build something within a cutting-edge nuclear technology company.

The Role
  • Develop licensing documentation, technical reports, regulatory responses and supporting materials for NRC submissions.
  • Work directly with NRC project managers, supporting audits, Requests for Additional Information (RAIs), review schedules and regulatory engagements.
  • Take a key role in developing the company's regulatory strategy while working alongside engineering teams to ensure technical requirements meet NRC frameworks.
  • Join a newly formed licensing function with high autonomy, direct exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to progress as the team scales.
The Candidate
  • Experience with nuclear licensing experience within the nuclear industry.
  • Engineering or technical degree preferred, with Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering particularly relevant; strong licensing experience can outweigh the specific degree.
  • US Citizen
