Lead Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineer

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Engineer to drive complex power and grid projects in the Utilities & Energy sector. In this role, you will own end-to-end technical delivery for generation, transmission, and electrification solutions that support global decarbonization. You will design and model power systems, integrate renewables, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll translate customer and grid requirements into robust architectures, mentor engineers, and leverage advanced digital tools to enhance safety, reliability, and performance across the energy transition portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of utility and grid-scale power projects across generation, transmission, and electrification portfolios.
• Develop technical architectures, system models, and simulations to optimize reliability, efficiency, and integration of renewables.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers and reviewing designs.
• Collaborate with product, project, and customer teams to define requirements, scope, and technical risk mitigations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, grid codes, and safety regulations for all engineered solutions.
• Use digital tools and analytics to troubleshoot system performance, validate designs, and support commissioning.
• Translate customer and grid-operator needs into robust technical solutions and clear engineering documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and re-use of designs, tools, and best practices across projects.
