Per Diem: GSA rates for Wilmington, NC, varies by month
Mob/Demob: Allowable up to GSA rates
Duration: Up to 2 months
Responsibilities:- Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation to support engineering analysis of process/facility systems.
- Develop, run, and validate CFD models using standard industry software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM).
- Analyze fluid flow, thermal, and/or gas separation behavior relevant to program equipment and processes
- Document methodology, assumptions, and results in technical reports
- Support design reviews and provide engineering recommendations to project engineers
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, and safety engineering staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
- Demonstrated hands‑on CFD experience
- Active DOE Q clearance
Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
