Vice President of Utility Infrastructure

Utility Solutions Group is an established underground utility contractor specializing in directional drilling, jack-and-bore, civil excavation, and fiber optic infrastructure throughout the Southeast. With approximately 60 employees and a reputation for executing complex underground utility projects, we are entering the next phase of our company's growth.

As we execute our strategic expansion into electric utility, natural gas, municipal infrastructure, and transportation markets, we are seeking an experienced executive to lead this initiative. This is a unique opportunity for a proven industry leader to build and lead a new business division with the full backing of an established contractor that already possesses the people, equipment, financial resources, and field expertise to execute complex underground infrastructure projects.

This is not a traditional business development position. We are looking for a builder—someone with the vision, relationships, and operational expertise to establish the company as a premier utility infrastructure contractor throughout the Southeast.

The Vice President of Utility Infrastructure will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic growth plan into municipal, electric utility, natural gas, and transportation infrastructure markets.

The successful candidate will bring an established network of owners, municipalities, electric and natural gas utilities, state Departments of Transportation, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and industry decision-makers. Their relationships should generate opportunities across municipal utility construction, electric utility infrastructure, natural gas distribution, cathodic protection systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and other underground utility infrastructure projects.

This executive will identify opportunities, estimate and pursue projects, recruit and build operational teams, and work directly with executive leadership to establish a new division capable of delivering complex underground infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast.

• Develop and execute the Company's strategic growth plan for municipal, electric utility, natural gas, cathodic protection, and transportation infrastructure markets.
• Leverage an existing network of industry relationships to generate qualified project opportunities.
• Identify, pursue, estimate, and help secure profitable utility infrastructure projects.
• Lead proposal development, estimating, contract negotiations, and strategic pursuits.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with municipalities, electric and natural gas utilities, state Departments of Transportation, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and private developers to expand the Company's presence across underground utility, cathodic protection, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) markets.
• Help recruit, mentor, and build the project management, estimating, field supervision, and craft workforce necessary to support a growing utility infrastructure division.
• Advise executive leadership on staffing, equipment, operational systems, safety programs, and investments required to successfully scale the division.
• Represent the Company at industry conferences, association meetings, trade organizations, and networking events while strengthening the company's reputation throughout the utility industry.
• Establish long-term client relationships that generate recurring revenue and sustainable growth.
