A specialized healthcare-focused private equity firm is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its investment team in a fully remote capacity. This role will work directly with a Partner on the firm’s human and animal health investment strategy, supporting the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and active management of growth-oriented investments across the healthcare ecosystem.

Qualifications
  • 8 –12+ years of relevant experience in private equity, growth equity, including investment banking experience
  • Strong transaction execution experience with deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and return analysis
  • Demonstrated experience leading due diligence processes across commercial, financial, operational, regulatory, and legal work streams
  • Sector experience in human health (e.g., pharma services, outsourced services, medical products, life sciences tools) and/or animal health is preferred
  • Experience evaluating lower middle-market and growth-stage healthcare businesses
  • Proven ability to prepare and present investment recommendations to Investment Committees
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, reimbursement considerations, and regulatory frameworks is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership in a remote environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead evaluation and execution of private equity investments within the human and animal health sectors
  • Develop detailed operating models, transaction structures, and return analyses, including scenario and sensitivity cases
  • Coordinate and oversee comprehensive due diligence, including third-party advisors and industry experts
  • Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior leadership and the Investment Committee
  • Support transaction structuring, negotiation, and documentation in partnership with legal counsel and counter parties
  • Actively monitor portfolio company performance, including KPI tracking, board reporting, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Partner with management teams to identify and execute value creation strategies, including growth initiatives and operational improvements
  • Mentor and oversee junior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle
